Description

ok kids, i would actually like some help here. let me try to explain. i have done a lot of stuff over the years that i thought was "good", some of it, a small fraction, some people have actually considered "art". i shy away from that label because i don't think i can ever really earn it, like it's an unnatainable goal. mostly because even if i do something that's really "good", there is still an excuse,

"oh, yeah it's good, but it's photoshopped", yeah it's good, but i screwed with the light",

"yeah it's good, but it was really not what i planned out",

"yeah, it's good, but it's kinda like this other shot that i saw somewhere else"

....and so on. the majority of my portfolio i can pass off in my own head even if people find something there to really appreciate.

this shot....is different. this is an idea that i planned out, a set up that i built, a girl that i think is perfect for the set, and a total presentation that i think is truly original. i'm having trouble not seeing this as art. i know that it will look even better as a print, and i finally accept that it's all the way that i wanted it to be. i think this one is better than the first one i posted the other day from this set because i really thought it would be better as a nude, and this girl is a lot more my style, plus the way she had her hands on her boobs seemed uncomfortable, it was always going to bug me, so i felt like i hadn't gotten it yet.

today i think i got "it"

i would like an honest opinion, i know when i post things i get comments, and i love hearing from you and getting your thoughts, this time i really want you to think about this and really let me know what you think.

This might be nearly 7 years too late, but I think you totally nailed it Scott. Incredible model and set but what I like best is the variety of angles that get picked up in all of the reflections. Very cool!
